Nicola A. Corbin, Ph.D., is a professor of communication and director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Weber State University. An award-winning educator, her work focuses on building faculty community and driving effective pedagogical change.
With a background of over a decade in journalism and public relations, her scholarship explores media representations and human-centered approaches to teaching, leadership, and institutional development.
Shandel Hadlock
Director of Instructional Design; Adjunct Instructor · Weber State University
Shandel Hadlock is the Director of Instructional Design for WSU Online and an adjunct instructor in English at Weber State University. She leads a team of instructional designers dedicated to emerging technologies, pedagogy, and impactful teaching practices.
Through faculty partnerships, she develops professional development opportunities that enhance course design, focusing on humanizing online learning through accessibility, interaction, and learner-centered design.
Shauna Chung
Adobe Pedagogical Evangelist · Adobe
Shauna Chung is an Adobe Pedagogical Evangelist and former English faculty at New York City College of Technology (CUNY), where she co-directed the Professional and Technical Writing program. She holds a PhD from Clemson University in Rhetorics, Communication, and Information Design.
Her work explores how digital media and emerging technologies impact teaching and learning. At Adobe, she focuses on helping students harness creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in the age of artificial intelligence.
