This month we’re highlighting a jam-packed calendar of regional and global events, including the return of the Adobe Education Institute (AEI). This series of live, interactive workshops will build your creative and digital capabilities and help you transform your teaching and learning environments.

Plus, Adobe MAX is around the corner and we’re offering a new Adobe Educator Bootcamp — a free, accredited training series designed for educators who teach Adobe Creative Cloud in their courses.

Spotlight

Australia Speaks

Nine students. Six weeks. One question: What’s true?

On 18 September, nine students took the stage at Adobe Sydney to celebrate an impressive achievement: They had taken a documentary from idea to finished film in just six weeks.

Australia Speaks, a collaboration between Adobe and the Australian Youth Film Festival (AUYFF), brought together students from eight institutions to tell factual stories about issues shaping their generation — from AI and digital safety to national security and marine conservation.

The program put real-world storytelling skills into practice: researching, fact-checking, making editorial decisions, and producing to deadline. Using Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, and Adobe Firefly, students explored how AI can support the creative process while keeping accuracy, transparency, and human judgement at the centre.

Susan Templeman MP, Special Envoy for the Arts and former journalist, reinforced why these skills matter. She described fact-checking as “more important than ever.” Adobe’s Jennifer Mulveny highlighted Adobe’s safe and ethical approach to AI and how Content Credentials help protect creators’ work, showing how the digital content was made and building greater trust and transparency.

The showcase brought together an impressive cross-section of government, education, and industry leaders, including Rose Jackson MLC, NSW Minister for Youth; Jacqui Munro MLC, NSW Shadow Minister for Science & Technology; and Jess Miller, Sydney Deputy Lord Mayor. NSW Premier Chris Minns also shared a video message, while partners including RMIT, Sony, ABC, and King’s Trust Australia supported the program.

We can’t wait to see how this program develops in 2027! Well done to all involved.

Adobe Student Academy

6 countries. 130+ institutions. 1,383 students.

The first-ever Adobe Student Academy in APAC kicked off on 5–6 October, bringing together students from across the region for two days of free creative upskilling online.

Led by our talented Adobe Student Ambassadors, the hands-on workshops helped students build creative confidence and practical digital skills using Adobe Express and Adobe Creative Cloud applications. From creating standout Living CVs and transforming photos to designing club identities and giving presentations a serious glow-up, there was something for every student, regardless of their discipline or experience.

And the results speak for themselves: 4,910 session registrations and 698 digital badges issued! The program wrapped up with an inspiring Student + Industry panel exploring how creative skills translate into coursework, campus life, and future careers.

All sessions are now available on demand, so students can catch up, revisit their favourites, and keep building their skills at their own pace.
