In this edition, we celebrate highlights from 2025: innovative products, vibrant events, and real stories of creative impact across our global higher education community.

Adobe MAX 2025 recap: higher-ed focus

This year’s event united educators and creative professionals — in Los Angeles and online — to share innovative approaches and tools for teaching and creative expression.

  • AI literacy & pedagogy: Sessions showcased responsible use of generative AI in curricula, positioning Adobe as a leader in ethical AI for higher education. Focus areas included human-centered AI, creative workflows, and future careers.

  • Integrative workflows: Many sessions emphasised cross-app workflows (e.g., Express → Firefly → Premiere) for media, communications, and design programmes.

  • Credentialling & employability: Career readiness and future-proofing skills were highlighted, supporting students’ transition from school to industry in the AI era.

  • Accessibility: This was a key topic at MAX 2025, addressed as both a compliance need and strategic priority for creative-tech investments in education. Scroll down to access the on-demand session.

  • New Product & Feature Launches: Adobe Express’s conversational AI Assistant streamlines creative tasks; Firefly introduced custom models, sound generation, and browser-based video editing for media and digital arts courses.

What’s available for higher education

Adobe now offers powerful new tools, like Firefly video, Acrobat AI Assistant, and 3rd Party Models, through a new Creative Cloud Pro Plus offer available for customers requiring access to these new premium generative AI tools. No matter where your institution is in your current contract cycle, your Adobe team will be happy to connect and find the best fit for your campus.

SVG Files in Adobe Express: Upload SVG logos, illustrations, and backgrounds to keep departmental visuals sharp and professional. Easily adjust colours and resize graphics for banners, announcements, or signage — ensuring consistent quality across formats, with standardised design elements.

Galleries in Adobe Express:  Accessible directly from Home within Adobe Express, individual users can add projects, generated images, and text to build their own gallery spaces. This can be a great way for students to showcase projects, personal portfolios, and collections. Collaboration for Galleries is planned for release in 2026.

Planet Forward, powered by George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs, challenges college and university students to tell bold stories about sustainability — through videos, graphics, and social posts. Winners gain national recognition and an invitation to the Planet Forward Summit in Washington, D.C.

As an Adobe Creative Campus, GWU champions creativity, and many past finalists have crafted their projects using Adobe Creative Cloud tools like Adobe Express.

NEW in 2026: One winner from each category will join Planet Forward and Lindblad Expeditions on an unforgettable storytelling journey to Greenland.
